Macun Lakes Since 2000, the lake plateau of Macun with some 20 large and small mountain lakes in the Swiss National Park. The challenging day-hike of about 8 hours takes you to the unique high alpine lakes and the 2945 m high Munt Baselgia with a breathtaking panoramic view. The white-blue-white marked hike can be started from Susch, Lavin or from Zernez. Starting from Zernez takes you through the wooded area Munt Baselgia. Shortly after crossing the Fuorcletta to Barcli you get a clear view of the picturesque lakes. Enjoy the plateau, before you begin the descent through the Val Zeznina to Susch or Lavin. The hike requires a seasoned walker and adequate equipment. In the area Munt Baselgia it has snow and icy trails. Starting point: Zernez, Height difference: about 1500m, Hiking time: about 8 hours |

S-chanf - Fuorcla Val Sassa - Chamanna Cluozza - Zernez If solitude, tranquillity and pure nature is what you are looking for, then you have found the right place in this corner of the Swiss National Park. From S-chanf, you reach the start after a short bus ride to Prasüras the parking lot at the park entrance. Shortly after the Varuschhütte you enter the national park with its unique flora and fauna. At the alp Purches, the trail branches off from the left to Val Müschauns and soon leaves to the tree line. The landscape is rugged and steep in places. At 2837 m on the Fuorcla Val Sassa, the highest point reached of the demanding tour. On the other side you enter into solitary and the original Val Sassa and follow the river to the Val Cluozza. After a climb on the right side of the valley, the Cluozza hut appears in the forest. The cabin has beds for 68 people. Enjoy a night in the wilderness and watch the evening to the grazing deer.A once in a lifetime experience. |

Hike ibex, bearded vulture in the national park (2) The Cluozza cottage is situated in quiet and seclusion. It offers magnificent views of the unspoilt countryside and is ideal for single nights. On the morning of the short distance to Zernez, which often results in descending order, can be migrated. Another option is option A. You simply select the steep climb behind the hut that leads to Fuorcla Murten. On the way we see, especially in the early morning a lot of game (deer, chamois, ibex ...). The descent on the other side leads through mountain pines, and offers impressive views of the similar Canadian forests...
